like I said.. if a live crowd that paid money to see a show enjoying itself upsets you that much, then maybe you need to reevaluate your life nikka

nice try, but the fallacy in that was they weren't enjoying themselves. which is why they threw fits all night. which was my point. me pointing it out is making yall caring ass nikkas feel some type of way. I can feel the anger...and the subsequent "no, you mad, you paid for it, etc..." wrong ass comments throughout this thread.

sorry skippy, no worky

So, 1 show?

The title of the article says "Daniel Bryan Struggles Again In the Ratings" That signifies more than once. We all remember Bryan centered shows struggling in the ratings immediately upon his push as the star. I produced an article that documents and backs up that claim. If you have numbers that contradicts such, be my guest.

well...

*snip*

This past Monday on Raw, the show drew a 2.68 Nielsen rating with an average audience of 3.58 million viewers, making it the lowest rated Raw of 2013. As a result, a lot of dirtsheet writers are now predicting doom for Daniel Bryan since he's been elevated into the top babyface spot in WWE with John Cena out injured. It's a lousy rating, no two ways about it. There's a pretty good number of fans, at least internet fans if no one else, that've had some trepidation in terms of Bryan's push. Many have been expecting WWE to pull the rug out from under him since the moment this big push towards the WWE Championship was announced. As I alluded to earlier, some dirtsheet writers are expecting it to happen as well due to ratings or ppv buys not being what WWE wants or expects. At this point, however, is that really the way it is?
Wasnt Orton the champ & wasnt that when the authority first started? Seems to me that trash would have had fans tuning out with every beat down the issued to d bryan the last 10 minutes.

What were the ratings like for his WHC run?

Orton was the champ, seems to me those numbers would fall on him more than Daniel Bryan.

Where are the ratings for his WHC run?

Millions of fans rejected DBry when they gave him the ball. Ratings sunk like a rock, so the WWE is giving the fans what they want. "The fans" doesnt entirely consist of a few thousand loud smarks in a given building. Smart marks trying to submarine shows with their lil temper tantrums is beyond childish.

It's true WWE ARE listening to fans having Batista win over DB, Batista just popped a big rating and DB's ratings as champ weren't good (I don't remember them nosediving though, they were about the same as Orton's from what I remember).

With that said, I don't think it's safe to say DB can't be a draw yet, as he's not even a year into his serious top guy run, and hasn't really been given the platform to succeed most top draws have. I also don't think you really believe the "Yes" or "Daniel Bryan" chants are from "smarks" or visually recognized social undesirables only.

He's held every major belt cept the Intercontinental championship, went over Cena CLEAN and is massively over......... I don't see the problem :ld:

I think people of this generation want instant gratification for everything they WANT and are too spoiled to appreciate everything they've been GIVEN.

Thats the part that gets me...its never good enough for the smarks. The fact that DBry has a nice position as a featured player doesnt cut it...he has to get a hulk hogan push, or else its some sort of crime against humanity.

the only time the crowd was clearly upset was the last few minutes of the Rumble when it was clear Bryan wasnt coming out.

Other than that.. not enjoying themselves?? :bryan: nikka you ever been to a wrestling show? You ever been outside period? Going there with the homies, drinking and chanting shyt with a crowd full of thousands of people is fukking fun as HELL. Even tho it might disturb your viewing experience from your mothers basement, it is fun to be there live. Those people were having a great fukking time. You should try it sometime

why should he have to settle for just being in a "nice position" tho? and why should his fans have to settle for that?

Right :heh:

What they'll never tell you is that they've ALWAYS been like this, even during the heights of guys like The Rock and SCSA, but they pretend and hindsight that they were all in unison and loved the Top guys at the time. Nonsense, I lived those times and folks were just as bipolar as they are now.

Apples and Oranges....Orton, as a heel, is being used as a character to transition to the next in line babyface. Remember they thought that guy was orton back in the day (a babyface to anchor the show around), and that failed. Now he is just a supporting player. They tested DBry's ability to be the man, and it failed.

I pointed out already..there were a lot of circumstances working against him there. Bad booking, Monday Night Football, etc. and even then.. the ratings weren't any worse than what they have been doing since they dropped him back to the mid-card.

Using ratings or even buyrates is a tired excuse. The fact is.. the only people in the company who consistently move the needle AT ALL in terms of numbers are The Rock and to a lesser extent, Brock Lesnar. Everyone else is just there. These ratings and PPV buyrate numbers are a dead platform. That's why WWE is moving away from it and creating the Network.
