"How do you even dance to this shyt" :mjlol:

Meanwhile people worldwide do the dances to this shyt :umad:
1) that’s a terrible “dance”

2) that’s not dancing music, but I’m not gonna expect that from NY, if it weren’t for immigrants, y’all haven’t had a history of making music to dance to since the Harlem renaissance.

1. Again to you this is literally a dance phenomenon :mjlol:

2. What a ridiculous statement Bronx nikkas created b-boying and have innovated in dancing in practically every decade. :mjlol:

You right, the b boy era was good for dancing :ehh:

This sturdy shyt is trash tho and nobody is setting off the party with that demonic scream music. Rather listen to metal, at least they using real instruments :mjlol:

but it ain’t like NY has really had anything else poppin for the last 15 years.
:mjlol: yes my man A$AP, Pro Era, Coke Boyz, GS9, Cardi B, Nicki, Max B, Highbridge, Griselda, NY drill, etc. all artists, groups, labels, movements with profound impact on hip-hop and high level of success is nothing.

I shoulda said NYC.

Joey Badass and STEEZ was the only ones from Pro Era to have any real success and it didn’t really smash the game. The rest of the artist you mentioned got slammed for not sounding like NY.

And Griselda ain’t NYC.

NY hasn’t had a popular sound since the early 00s. And I say this as someone who loves NY hiphop

Doesn't matter who slammed them they reached success and put on for the city all this "sound" shyt is dumb as hell a buncha hating ass nikkas that wanted NY to stay in the past. Not only that if people dug into those artists catalog they would hear "NY sounding" shyt. As we see technology and laws had changed everything in hip-hop production and the internet has blurred the lines of regions. For years NY has been held to an unfair standard despite giving the world hip hop.

The neo boom bap sound Griselda uses also started in NYC in the last 15 years and they best MC now is from NYC.

This idea that NY has been a dead musical region for 20 years just because it hasn't been Atlanta is ridiculous.

Imo the beats the producers like Cash Cobain, Riot, TJ, Chris Saves, War, etc. are making is the most forward and different sounding shyt in hip-hop right now where shyt has gotten pretty redundant with piano trap beats in the game as a whole :francis:

Some of this shyt is straight ear candy

what's cooking in the city really would vibe more with folks familiar with everything we grew up on

you know in terms of diversity there's very few stateside spots that have so many vibes in one location

subtract the gang politics & get them fully focused on music it's instant hits that connect across the diaspora

it's okay if some folks from the states sleep we got international links
