Meh...i doubt the lakers brass even know what they really want at this point...D'Antoni's fate could potentially be tied to any number of events yet to pass...the first shoe to drop is likely what pick they end up getting in the lottery...and then what the roster ends up being after free agency...say for instance they luck into the top pick and decide to draft embiid (and they want a system more fitting for the delevopment of a young traditional big, i.e. NOT dantoni's gimmick offense) or any free agent of note makes it known they'll sign if mike is gone...that nikka is thrown in the bushes...the source behind this rumor is somebody affiliated with Marshall who has zero knowledge about jack sh!t other than Dantoni isn't taking their coaching opening...they have no direct foresight into laker front office decisions next season with any measure of certainty, a week after the regular season ends...it may very well be Dantoni's full intention to remain head coach of the lakers...but it doesn't matter what he wants...ain't no use feeling any kind of way, until something substantial is confirmed
