I swear to god I don't know what these people want !

Like the dialogue is great, the character building is phenomenal and there's intense scenes and you can clearly see it's building up to something big.

It's fixing all the mistakes that people were pissing and moaning about and rightfully so over their last couple shows

Here's the split:

There are those who think the character is in the costume and they're feeling let down.

There are those who think the character is Matt Murdock, and they're loving this shyt.

While I fall in the latter half, I understand anyone checking in for batons flying not getting what they want, but, then again, the series title is "Born Again" and the title sequence is the character in costume arising from the rubble of the fallen and failed systems, so let them build.

That Frank/Matt scene is so much more to the core of the essence of the "Daredevil" character than any full cowl scene has ever been.

That said, I'm here for the character shyt, others are here for flips and punches, so, while I disagree, I understand.

:russ: Nothing is wrong with bruhs criticizing and critiquing the show lol. Not every episode is going to hit for everyone. So all that “you must have adhd” or “stop watching it then” rhetoric. Isn’t cause for lol, especially since majority of the bruhs in this thread. Including the bruhs with critiques had already said that “this is the best live action mcu show on D+.”

episode was a slow cooker but I enjoyed the tension, felt that I needed more by the end of the episode , next week they dropping 2 episodes back 2 back so it should be a banger.

I feel like this season is the appetizer before the main course of season 2. Daredevil show has been off air for several years so now they’re just setting the table. Making sure everything is in place so that we will feast on Season 2, which is why I like this approach. They aren’t rushing things which I feel only works to the benefit of this type of show.

Loving it so far. I can already feel like it’s written like a roller coaster. I’d be surprised if Matt puts on the costume before the last 2-3 episodes. I could be wrong but it feels more like Matt’s going to want to see what he can do within the confines of what the Kingpin told him at their meeting, before he says fukk it and throws the suit on. I just hope he doesn’t come out in the yellow suit, I’ve hated that since the character was in ink.

i have no strong feelings about this show. been a slog so far, and i don't know, just doesn't feel as prestigious as the Netflix show did at first. i'm too much of a hater to just lightly enjoy something a little, and carry on with my day. at least make me hate. boring ass show making me reach of my hate. i shouldn't have to work to hate.

half kidding... quarter kidding

i'm sure the internet is collectively cumming their pants over that scene with Punisher, but man that was a clinic in generic tough guy dialogue. "hey nickname, i fought for my country, you're a phoney, say your dead friend's name, angry!!!!" and the Fisk/Vanessa shyt is snooze city. show is so humorless by nature that the hint of a running gag with We Built This City was the only time i smiled so far. shoulda done it a couple more times, tbh. actually, making a british man say "Fiddle Faddle Caramel Corn" multiple times in an American accent was gold.

there's a little hate.

new villain seems promising at least.

Daredevil has never been on par with the writing of a prestige HBO show. Your expectations are out of whack for what this was always going to be
