Offense could be better than last season which is scary...Ill refrain from making any statements about the pitching right now...

Used to be able to get tickets pretty easily. Now? :mjcry:

Something tells me they'll be easier to find next year. :smugfavre:

Jays more popular than the Leafs for the first time ever I think. Leafs were pretty good during the WS years.

In the late 1980s until 1992, the Jays were winning AL East division titles while the Leafs sucked hard under the reign of Harold Ballard.

The Leafs sucked until the 1993 playoffs.

Jays won the AL EAST in 1985, 1989, 1991, 1992. Won the 1992 WS.

Until the Leafs had their Gilmour era playoff run of 1993 and 1994, the Jays arguably were the #1 team in Toronto. The Jays won the AL East 3 times, and won the WS before Gilmour did his thing on the Leafs. And Skydome, who opened in 1989, was the place to be at, it was considered the ballpark of the future, with the restaurants, Large, TV Screen, etc

Apparently even the 1993 WS Repeat of the Jays couldnt overshadow the Leafs of 1993-94 who opened the season with 10 wins and no losses. Even with a WS, the resurgence of the Leafs was too strong as hockey re-took its #1 position in the city.
