@Knuckles Red what city are you from? And what are your personal experiences with colorisim? I'm from a city that's 65% black and like I said this is something that was ever remotely an issue for me. I've only heard shyt like this online, never irl

Without telling you the state I live in I'll tell you that I live in the southeast part of the US. A good amount of black people live in my state. I guess it just depends on the school you went to. I'm not the only one in this post admitting that he's dealt with, and witnessed, colorism. I find it odd that there are some people in here who haven't dealt with getting teased or made fun of because of the complexion of their skin. This is all kids do (especially in middles school) is make fun of one another. Maybe its not the same at schools that are mostly black, but I've seen this type of shyt with my own eyes.

I ain't gon lie , niccas used to make fun of me in like elementary / middle school because I was darkskin , but even back then I was never offended , I used to be like "But aint ya niccas black too though " shyt used to always puzzle me I never saw an issue with that , also my mom instilling in me to be proud of being black and my skin color probably played a role in that .. but yeah I never had any desire to lighten my skin and always been thankful for my dark , radiant skin
