I wonder if there are light skinned dudes who wish they were darker? I'm no where near as light as Chris Brown, but I wonder if because of light skin being associated with femininity (which is wrong) would he or these other light bright dudes want to be darker to enhance their masculinity? Just because you've never felt insecure about having dark skin doesn't mean nobody else has. Stop trying to make it seem like there aren't issues when it comes to dark skinned dudes vs light skinned dudes. I've had my own experiences to back such issues up. I don't know where you live, but a lot of black dudes go through shyt like this.

Not 2 but 1 light skin parent and the other dark. I have seen 2 dark parents give birth to light brownish kid but never a nikka like chris brown unless they had a great great great white parent and that gene just randomly came out in 1 of 3 kids

I'm in north memphis. The most nikkas dealt with were "black ass nikka" jokes and that was mostly elementary school. As far as nikkas having traumatic experiences just because their dark skinned, no that's not common at all where I'm from. Nobody gives af. What are these so called issues supposed to be in the first place?

I wanted to start a dialog about the light skinned/dark skinned debate as it relates to black men. We always talk about black women and their struggles in dealing with their skin complexion. Its foolish to think that we aren't affected by the color of our skin just because we're men. Its not a figment of my imagination that there is if even the slightest animosity between dark skinned guys and light skinned guys. Though we make joke, underneath every joke is pain. There are some dark skinned guys who grew up very insecure about their dark skin. And some like skinned guys too. Let not pretend these issues don't exist.

No animosity because in reality, outside the web, we are one. I don't know if your really black; nonetheless, black men don't focus on skin shade because at the end of the day cops,along with white supremacist,look at all black men as a threat regardless of our skin shade.This is mainly why black dudes don't get caught up in these discussions due to awareness.
