I think he is one of the most underrated producer as far as mainstream noteworthiness. As I get further into establishing a music career, the money is in being a performer. Once, a songwriter's and/or producer's record cools off then those royalty checks get slim. Performers (incorrectly called artists most times) can get show money with a decent catalog or a super hit until they hang it up. That royalty money is split a million ways. Those radio spins equate to less than a penny most times but performers do not get paid for that. Only the songwriters.

A regional, unsigned star like one of my faves, @iceberg305 on twitter, is probably pulling in over $20k a month off of regional shows. Unless you are Diane Warren those royalty checks are about shyt. The money is made once you have a solid reputation and can demand advance money to get in the studio with someone and require higher percentage points of an album's sales. The music industry is something fickle.

@Bricktop My advice to anyone like myself that is trying to make a reputable career in the music industry is to love it like how attorneys suppose to love the law. Doing it for money leads to quick disappointments. Thick skin is needed and starting a career in music is like a small business because one is going to spend more trying to get in before making money from it.

The best part and most encouraging thing to me is more people fizzle out.
