Here's a scenario for you (Holmes and Fez aren't going anywhere for a year)

say we draft Geno, and do what you think they should.

Jets go 3-13 and are in a position to draft Bridgewater, Manziel, Boyd, Logan Thomas.

U passing any of them up to keep Geno?
We go 1-15 and draft Clowney

Thomas is a bum, Geno compares favorably with the other 3.

Taking a QB at any point is a wasted pick. There's no incentive to doing so (even though there are QB's that are intriguing if this team didn't have so many needs)

yeah taking Wilson last year would have been such a waste....youre losing it

Bucs needed this. with roddy and julio over there you have no chance of beating the falcons without some semblance of a secondary. Bucs trying to win those home games against falcons and saints. That usually does us in late in the season. If the run D stays like it was last season with the improved secondary, we might just :eat: a little bit....maybe

I disagree. The only situation I can see you paying a corner that type of money is if you are a good corner away from a Super Bowl run. The Bucs were 7-9 this past season. You are much more than a corner away. I understand that they did this mostly because of the Falcons, but this still doesnt put you on their level.

that's not what I'm saying (and considering how much I wanted Russell Wilson last year it is asinine that you would think that).

The fact of the matter is that there is no Russell Wilson in this draft and the Jets are on a collision course to an awful season. The last thing I want this team to do is pass up the entire goal for sucking so goddamn much because we have a developmental QB we wanna try out.

Could any of these QB's outplay Fez in a fair competition for a QB job? Yes.

Will any of these QB's get a fair competition for a QB job? HELL NO. Why draft someone Rex simply won't play? By the time the Jets can draft Teddy, Rex and Fez won't be here.

so basically you want Sanchez to play next year so we get the first pick?

Sanchez isnt going to start this season so stop thinking like that...its Garrard's job.

If you're not a bucs fan, you dont understand. Tampa bay has problems selling tickets. That playing it by the book, smart gm shyt aint going to work here. They need star power and good players. That got cap room galore. This deal cant hurt them. that 1st round pick isnt going to be as good as revis and they have tons of cap space, might as well spend it. When you been as apathetic as tampa has for the last five years, you have to go out on a limb. If they're contenders for the wild card spot for next few seasons with revis, its worth it. No tampa bay fan will deny that.

Does it really matter whose QB?

All the Jets options at QB are fukking terrible and they're tanking it for a top 5 pick...

This is going to be a Kotite season breh...

The Bucs were 6-4 at one point before the secondary decided to kick the bucket. We had the #1 run defense in the league last year to go along with the worst secondary. We brought in Goldson and Revis this offseason to fix that.

Our offense is set, best o-line in the league, QB that's set to prove himself, arguably the best young RB in the game, good WRs...

We still got holes to plug with the pass rush and tight end though. We're going to be a force this year after this trade.

This is one of the reasons I gave up my season tickets in 2005 and stripped all my Jets shyt down...I do not want my son following me down this same road of demonic misery...The only Jets related thing I haven't sold or stuffed in a box and buried in the attic is my Curtis Martin jersey...Last time I wore it was the Colts AFCCG...
