Louisiana
They seem to be trying to build these things everywhere. One supposed to be built in Louisiana and I know it’s going to be a snit show. Electricity already seems pretty expensive and can be unreliable especially during storms

All these rural towns selling their souls and its also becomine an issue outside the US in other countries. I dont hear much buzz about the nuclear investments but there is still the issue with water usage for cooling these places

How is china handling the enviornmental downsides?
China doesnt care about the environment. But then again it may have better infrastructure to support. We all know how much investment the US put into its infrastructure:troll:

The Truth
They will need to use nuclear power or something

But this is what I meant when I said the infrastructure is not there.. yet trump crying about wind farms while China is using theirs

Yes, China has a substantial number of wind farms and is the world leader in wind power generation, with the largest installed capacity and ongoing rapid growth in new wind facilities. The country has a robust strategy supported by government policies, a large land mass, and a long coastline, enabling it to develop significant onshore and offshore wind projects, making wind power a key part of its energy system.

Scale and Leadership
    • World Leader:
China leads the world in wind power generation, possessing the largest installed capacity of any nation and continuing to build new wind facilities at a fast pace.
    • Rapid Growth:
The country's installed wind capacity has grown exponentially, with gigawatts of new projects coming online in recent years.
Key Developments
    • Government Support:
A clear state-led strategy and government support have been pivotal in China's rapid development of wind power.
    • Offshore Wind:
China is significantly expanding its offshore wind capacity, with very large, modern turbines being deployed along its extensive coastline.
    • "Mega Wind & Solar Bases":
China is developing large-scale wind and solar projects in "mega bases," with significant capacity expected to come online between 2025 and 2030.

The thing is, the chinese are building renewables in record speed, because they provide cheap and clean energy to power AI. Meanwhile Trump is deliberately destroying renewables in the US :snoop:
I've read tons of articles all saying China is going to win the AI race, because the US isn't building cheap and clean energy sources to power those data centers.
