Artists and labels don't really put effort to sell shyt nowadays either. The game is completely watered down.

RIAA certification needs to be revamped completely. Both to better reflect sales and to incentivize physical and digital sales.

I know artists sometimes print CD’s and vinyl’s still but it’s mostly digital sales nowadays and that can be rigged. Everything needs a reset.

The current landscape screws over indie artists and niche genres. It also suppresses musical diversity, which has already suffered since the Telecommunications Act of 1996.

Didn't Hollywood writers and actors just have a strike to change terms since the 2008 strike which basically introduced how revenue sharing in the digital age would work? Why are musicians sitting on their asses still?
