The funny thing about life is how your views change.

I would be 100% against Dave before i had kids and owned property. Its different now. Like my area is "affluent" and mostly black. My community is always fighting against zoning for liquor stores, check cashing places, Family Dollars, hookah bars, affordable housing and cheap apartments.

Young Keond would be for all those things, but as i get older, i realize they wouldn't even think of putting those things in the white side of my county. Its like they want to dump all of that shyt over by us to help ghettoize my area because they see the demographics and figure we dont care.

Affordable housing is code word for Section 8 and everything that they bring. All coli bullshyt aside, nobody wants to have a expensive house next to no apartments in metro atlanta. Im just speaking facts, taking the emotion out of it.
Bingo.
Become a homeowner - your tune will change. People pay more to live in communities where the schools are decent and neighbors vested.

I'd be all for low income housing if the government ever had a holistic plan for integrating them into the community, but they always just plop the hood next to people then walk away and pat themselves on the back.

A holistic plan includes: increased job opportunities, after school programs, mental health services, proper community policing, litter pickup, keeping recidivists in jail, etc.

Instead, what typically happens is crime goes up, property values go down, and your female relatives can't even walk to the store after dark anymore without fear of getting harassed.

Nobody wants to be near the ghetto. And that's the same whether it's a black hood, a white trailer park or a Chinese fishing village. I've seen rich black suburbs (many of whom came from the hood) fight tooth and nail to keep it away from them.

They offer stuff like that but a lot of people don't take advantage of it.
The people that do end up moving out

don’t want govt backed affordable housing have no problem taking govt/state employee subsidies, tax credits, etc
You say this as if those who build and provide affordable housing aren’t get tax breaks and subsidized like shyt out here too. They aren’t building affordable housing out of the kindness of their hearts. See @keond post. Perspective changes when you start owning shyt.

The issue with this development is the housing isn’t affordable. The developers are giving land to themselves and have shady dealings with the government officials involved. That is why DC and residents are against the plan. I will be the first to admit that I am someone who has to read things twice. It appears the community is against it because they’ve been lied to and it’s a shady deal.

Jesus Christ another day another group of dumb no reading ass nikkas and crackers.
Chappelle here is for the original plan of affordable housing, but the local whites tried to change the construction to $300000 minimum homes, which obviously are not affordable housing properties in that city, or most anywhere in that state.

read nikkas.
Where did you read it?

All these dudes support the very same practices that are the reason for poverty and the lack of black wealth in our community. Then they'll turn around and claim to be pro black :mjlol:

The Coli folks
Threads like this are why the other thread about registration opening back up was so funny. Fools talking about agents and white supremacists infiltrating the coli. Y’all post like white supremacists all on y’all own on here every day. And are genuinely too dumb to even realize it. :laff::laff::laff:
It's always amazing to see it play out in real time but this thread is the epitome of TLR. This board (TLR in particular) has a lot more in common with the "cacs" on Reddit than most of the posters here realize.

Dave has never cared for poor people.
No wonder he's a fan favorite in TLR.

affordable housing doesn't = low income housing. Usually is median or average employee affordability for a given area. Its usually an issue because people don't just get priced out of moving in, but rather, tax increases from the new value of land erodes income faster than anything and can often hasn't the eventual decay that everything but the wealthiest areas experience. Always wise for even medium term sustainability aspect to have the workers of an area be able to live at least close. Instead we end up with ripple effects that can be seen coming but are ignored for short term gain.
