I used to live in the hood in “affordable housing” I understand whole heartedly why his stance is his stance.

Obviously everyone in low income housing aren’t criminals but the few that are can fukk up an entire zip code, I’ve witnessed it first hand.

Then factor in your home value deteriorating, criminals on their Robin Hood shyt, working your ass off to get out the hood only to drive up the block and see all the shyt you left behind in your backyard, I’m with Dave.

Do people not realize that aside from all the other issues, low-income housing near high-end housing lowers the property (and thus the re-sale) value of all adjacent properties? I don't blame him for this at all. Actually quite a smart business move. On top of that, the only people moving in would be poor whites and addicts so I could care less.

Jesus Christ another day another group of dumb no reading ass nikkas and crackers.
Chappelle here is for the original plan of affordable housing, but the local whites tried to change the construction to $300000 minimum homes, which obviously are not affordable housing properties in that city, or most anywhere in that state.

read nikkas.

Chappelle should've just stuck with comedy...

When it came to stand-up comedy or starring in comedy films, I've never been a fan of Chappelle but never really knew much about him as a person to speak on his behalf...

Yet the more I've been learning about him over the past months/year is that in terms of character he doesn't seem like a good person and is kinda off-putting, ya know the kind of person you just don't want to be bothered with at all. The “avoid at all times type.

What have you learned about him?

So according to local demographics one out of every 10 people would be white in this development.

And if you look at salaries broken down by Demographics even less black people would be able to afford the 300k price tag for this “low income” housing.

I’d have beef with this too. :yeshrug:

bunch of lower middle class entitled racists running around.

read nikkas.

This is why I find people on both sides of the fence weird in this thread.

It is not actually clear what David's objections are but it isn't irresponsible to put affordable housing at the centre of it.

Apparently the average home price in the area is 215k. They're looking to build 100s of home that cost between 250 to 600k.

Less than 2 acre will be donated with the purpose of building affordable homes. No date set on when the construction will take place.

Amazes me that people are always paranoid about the white man's generosity, except when a black man is the dissenting voice.

The people who are way out in Yellow Springs don't want any development, whether it's high end or low end. That's why they live out there in the first place.

So basically he doesn't like poor people?
No, I think Dave tried to keep it too real. He be riding Mo Peds in Dayton even in the hood.

Duke is rich, he needs to live around other rich people and he needs to have his lawyers holla at Politicains to do whatever he wants doing.

That's how rich nikkas handle disputes. He shouldn't go to village council meetings like Johhny Citizen.

In this thread we lie and say we are cool with low income housing / affordable housing right next to our mansion…
They were planning on building some affordable apartments next to my dad's house and he told me:
"I hope they don't. This is going to lower my property value" :francis:

He one of them "y'all don't know what it's like, y'all from the suburbs, I'm really from the hood" type dudes so I clowned him for weeks because that was the most suburban thing I've heard him say in my entire life :russ:

I mean is it? He don't want his nice neighborhood fukked up. Build that shyt somewhere else.:yeshrug:

Of course poor and middle class folks will think of it as bad, but I look at it from both sides.

This. I love how the Coli acts like they’re above this shyt. I’d love to see how they would feel if Skid Row (LA) or Kensington (Philly) or The Tenderloin (SF) were transplanted in their current neighborhoods or their parents’ neighborhoods and see if they’ll keep that same energy.

How you gonna ROFL with a hollow back?
The part I find ironic about this is, most of the folks that live in those mansions and shyt that don’t want govt backed affordable housing have no problem taking govt/state employee subsidies, tax credits, etc. folks are so quick to be patriotic, and wave the flag, and are so proud and happy to be “American”, but don’t know what America is outside their bubble. What I find weird, All the folks in here defending people that are in the situation of having to fight against affordable housing built near their properties are far closer in income, ownership to the folks wanting affordable housing. Have any of y’all noticed that we are in a fukking dumpster fire regarding the housing market? Do y’all know that even if you have the means to buy a decent house that checks all of your boxes, that there are a major shortages across the country causing people to have to buy houses that wouldn’t sell for 200k 4 years ago for 300k+ now, and that’s if you can find one, and somebody doesn’t outbid you? And don’t even talk about renting houses right now, Jesus Christ. I’m just saying, hero/celebrity worship, especially when it drives people to defend a celebrity’s wealth over the normal, everyday folks that you have way more in common with, that’s crazy.

Na
I watched my neighborhood change for the worst

And I still don't fukk with Chappelle

Just because doing affordable housing has the potential to go downhill doesn't mean you still shouldn't do it

Also, the nikka got too much dip on his chip talking about I'm pulling my money out

Sounding like a cartoon villain

But everyone else in that town probably agrees with him so:yeshrug:
