Why is it that comedians get to hide behind being comedians when they say something but the rest of us dont?

Dave gets to call people sensative. When are the rest of us going to get that same benefit of the doubt?
So if you want to get away with saying whatever you want then become a comedian too

I liked the whole interaction honestly.

You got Dave being Dave, drunk as fukk, playfully offensive.

You got someone getting offended and standing up for himself.

Then you have someone in real time trying to make sure that the energy in the room stays peaceful, shyt ended on a good note, I don't get the 'outrage' over anybodies behavior, that's actually how shyt should go.

fukk them muthafukkas nikkas need to stop being so p*ssy.

We live in vagina country now

Luckily I’m married and my wife’s old school I don’t have your new world problems.
Soon as my kids gets a little older imma really teach them how it should be. They tried to get my kids to take a class ( they’re 10 and 7) about trannys and shyt. They didn’t even tell us they were doing it I found out from my nephew and I was livid. I made them sign something that neither of my kids would ever participate in those classes

The fukked up thing is ever since then they been looking at us sideways like we fukked up
About to put em back in there old private school

When you a real nikka, your occupation doesn't matter :smugdraper:

As long as you don't actually say it at work :whoa:

idk if dude is gay or not...assuming he’s not it’s one thing if dave jokes like that privately and truth be told that still could be fighting words if they not really cool w/ each other like that...but to joke like that on IG live? that could fukk up dude’s career...again this is under the assumption that dude is not gay...totally unnecessary comment or “joke” on chappelle’s part

Comedians are actually being called out more than ever

Dave has always been openly unapologetic and receives backlash all the time

You get to call people sensitive too. But you gotta take what come with it

Dave takes it:yeshrug:

I don't understand how people who take dikks to the ass, can be so sensitive.:hhh:

I don't think he's gay, I think he got offended at being called gay. While I feel it's completely childish, I got a friend that pulled up on our barber for since we were in middle school for implying that he was with some funny shyt.

The same reason the court jester was the only one that could get away with making fun of the king, there is an art to making observations and getting people to laugh at themselves a lot of times, that is ultimately the function of comedy.

Great stuff Dave, bring real comedy back. Comics and art should be able to speak freely in some form or fashion

Dave can and does speak freely.

But people have just as much of a right to be offended and speak on what he has to say, it works both ways. In his last two specials, he told some brilliantly offensive jokes lol, he did what he was supposed to do and still made plenty of space for people, some of them being his fans to decide whether he really was trying to be a bully or not with his comedy. Tell your jokes, have your hurt feelings, afterward let's meet an understanding somewhere in the middle so comedians can still be the ones to bring up things that the crowd are saying under their breaths, because there's going to be a time when it's vitally IMPORTANT to give a voice to that.

If they were just chilling and the Daniel guy wasn’t causing no issues and Dave flew off the cuff calling him Gay for no reason then that's flagrant. I love Dave but i don’t give a fukk WHO you are, if you call another man Gay then that man has the right to confront you. Joke or no joke

I dont think he's gay. He got mad at being called gay.

Yeah, let's actually keep it 100 in here. Ya'll know damn well if you call the next man gay and he isn't, you're likely to have a problem on your hands

Shouldn't you be able to defend yourself if you ain't gay? shyt that's fukking with your reputation, right?

If he's not gay, he's gonna be judged by some for letting another nikka call him gay when he's not, on top of that he looks defensive to his gay fans.
If he actually is gay, and wants to keep that personal he just had one of the most famous people in entertainment 'out' him on social media.

Dave was in the wrong, but he didn't have ill intentions and while dude could have let that roll off his back in either case, he at least spoke up for himself.
