Son he got atleast 4-5 years on some of those guys. And bout 8 years on Herb. He's in a spot where he ain't young as the young guys. And he's not old either. He fukk's wit the people he grew up listening too.

Not true. He been on two songs with Don Q, he did his XXL freestyle with G Herbo and did songs with G Herbo and got his album reposted on IG by both G Herbo and A Boogie. Done shows with A Boogie and all that.

He got a lot more in common with Herbo and A Boogie then Beans and Game its not even about that though he's the first one out of all these guys to put out a retail project and I would have liked to see him work more with the new blood that's all. He do talk about bringing back NY and how the new NY finding its sound. Nas wasn't doing songs with 80's rappers on It Was Written you feel me? I want a nice mix of new and old.

Solid project.

My issue with East is most of his shyt sounds the same. Each track sounds like the one before. He can rap, but the production and content kinda give the music a generic feel. When he does narratives, he's at his best. Joints like "Keisha" show skill. A lot of people don't want to spend on beats these days, but if he got at better producers, I think that's what'll make the difference for him.

Nas had tracks wit G Rap in 95 bro. His first showcase was in a group with 80s rappers. Plus. Of course he gonna have Nas on a track. Nas signed him. Why wouldn't he? And it's not like Nas is some washed nikka. nikka is a legend. It's a good look for him to have songs wit Nas. I do feel u right about him having some young people on his albums. Like I said before tho. He got atleast 4 years on Young MA. How he got a lot more in common with Herb. A kid that's damn near a decade younger than him? Dude is in an awkward spot like I said. He's not old but he's not raised on the shyt these young cats was raised on either.

That's one of my biggest gripes with him. His projects full of features with nikkas 10+ years older than him.

That Beanie line was and his voice sounds shot but he still bodied that verse.

But honestly, Dave is part of the new NY. He only collabs with veterans and legends like Nas, Fabolous, Beanie Sigel, Pusha T, SP and Kiss, Game, Cam'ron. I want to see Dave collab more with the young spitters and rappers from his generation.

Imagine A Boogie singing the hook on Eyes on Me instead of Fabolous

He should have put the track with Don Q on the album, and worked with M.A.

That fab track was terrible but maybe a boogie would add something to it. Yeah if he had joey badass or don q that wouldve been nice. He might as well have hopped on her wave since theyre both NY nikkas. Beanie voice is bad i really think he should hang it up and write for meek. I respect dave though, when younger nikkas cop his tapes they'll get introduced to those guys but his music lowkey suffers
