...but when I heard this verse of Dave East I just put him in the "just like every other rapper category".

The whole song is about cliches you hear in rap videos...and instead of coming up w/ a witty verse about the silly shyt in rap...he goes right ahead and does the exact same thing Trey Songz is making fun of



Its almost like dude took random verses from that thread on here where people listed over used rap lines...only thing he's missing is "whip the same color as..."

Unlike Vado, Dave East actually makes appealing music. Vado is just a basic, generic NY rapper with no discernable personality. He was thoroughly exposed by rapping along side Cam'ron --- a dude with enough personality for 5 rappers

Vado was probably better with the pen, but East seems like he can make better records easily. His "industry" records don't sound as forced as Vado's.

None of them, really. Not in the mainstream sense. But they're amazing songs in that the internet has made it possible for KRIT to gain respect as an MC for that reason alone.

No one doubts this about KRIT. And he's not just some meandering "i'm a slick spitter with street ties" or the "I'm not a rapper but i swag a lot" bullshyt...

Hov/Fab/Cam/Mase ruined a lot of these dudes thinking they could follow in their footsteps.
