I've read "MindHunter", by John Douglas and Mark Olasker, which is for sure the source material, Douglas is like the pioneer of serial killer/lust murder/sexually based killings profiling. I've read his work since I was a little kid, like 14, when I got his book on unsolved cases, where he profiles killers like Jack The Ripper and Zodiac. Honestly, I can do, (to a very limited degree) what he taught, read the killer based on the crime.

The woman killed in Queens neighborhood while joogging last year, who was sexually assaulted, and beaten strangled to death: ( Killer is 20's to early 30's, unemployed, living with parents, or possibly transient, possible alcohol abuser, lives in nearby area)

With Fincher involved, I have a lot of faith.

Is this a good book? :lupe:

Honestly the trail didn't do anything for me, but I love David Fincher and the subject matter looks pretty interesting so I definitely watching.

If you are interested in the nature of sexually based killings, and serial killers, how their killings reflect their personalities, how they caught many of them, how to catch them through profiling, as well as forensics, it's fascinating. Covers some really depraved and dark killers, a guy in Alaska who kidnapped and "hunted" prostitutes in the wilderness, among others.
