Philly bouls, Trust the Process
I've long felt Griffin has massively fumbled an insane bag.
Everything he got has been handed to him. He lucked into Zion and having AD to trade for assets. He was gifted a massive haul, and even then owes the development of BI and Zo into really good shooters and BI from a meh player to a young star with more room to grow to their shooting coach Fred Vinson. Imagine how they'd be if BI and Zo never took their respective leaps?

Then? He gets the 4th pick in the draft in 2019 from LA and has the opportunity to draft DeAndre Hunter or Darius Garland, and instead his dumbass trades back for Jaxson Hayes :smugdraper:
Imagine Garland with a year under Jrue's tutelage to learn the game, imagine Garland's ball handling and shooting to pair with Zion, Garland's half court ability to pair with Zo who runs transition, imagine a young 1-4 of Garland/Zo/BI/Zion all 24 and under

He initially makes a good deal moving Jrue, and chooses to take the terrible contract of malcontent non-shooting Eric Bledsoe over the expiring deal of George Hill, a vet who can space the floor and mentor young guys until the deadline when you could've flipped him for another pick :dahell:
Instead Bledsoe tanked moral, took minutes from young guys like Kira and NAW, and had to give up assets to get rid of him
AND THEN this dumb muffukka acquires Steven Adams, and before he plays a minute for them gives him a big extension :dahell: a purely interior big man who's not a great defender who doesn't fit the timeline at all is what you pair Zion with? And pay him big money? :dahell: They'd have been better off getting Nerlens Noel for cheap to at least hold down the defense

They made a halfhearted playoff push that they flopped out of when instead could have easily had a gentle tank at the end of the year and put themselves in the running to add Cade, Green, Suggs, Mobley, etc. to their roster... Garland/Zo/BI/Zion/Mobley was a real potential outcome for them, and that outcome would've left them with all the cap flexibility in the world since 3/5 guys are on rookie deals still.

Then they let Zo go for basically nothing??? A guy Zion clearly said he loves playing with???

Get that man outta here :camby: he's fumbled the bag literally every step of the way. There's no reason why the Pels aren't Russ/Harden/KD/Ibaka OKC 2.0 rn

Yall absolving that fat manchild Zion of all blame when the Pelicans' failures are his failures.

Came in to the league with an All Star teammate in Brandon Ingram on the court

And a city that was ready to hand him the keys off the court

And what he's done since then is:

Comes into every basketball situation (Summer League, training camp, the Bubble, the season after the Bubble) a disgusting fat blob that looks more like a basketball than a basketball player

Is one of the worst defenders in the league at his position

Skips multiple offseason workouts with his teammates (BI attends every one of them), skipped being with the youngsters on the Summer League team (BI and the new head coach Willie Green were there), skipped watching the playoffs with BI and the GM Trajan Langdon, has zero relationship with David Griffin

Why doesn't he have a relationship with Griffin? Because Griffin wanted Zion to get his fat ass in shape before rushing back to play coming off a knee surgery that occurred probably because his fat ass was out of shape

Ready to ship this fat disgusting fukk off my team
