This is true but a gym rat mentality you either have or don't. Him not working out much isRandle played like a bonehead his first season here but I can never take away that he's improved since and stays in amazing shape. He's actually leaner now and lost weight this summer. Mamba mentality Zion doesn't seem to have that

This isn't always true. A lot of times young guys see another player, an older player, and the way they work out, and they implement that level of work ethic into their own game. Sometimes guys think they're working hard, or working as hard as they can, but then they get around someone they look up to who is working even harder, and a light switches for them. Zion is only, what, 20, or 21? If he was 28 then it's, yeah, you are what you are.

This is the reason it's so important to have veterans in a locker room, people who can hold young guys accountable and let them know what they need to do to get better.
