David Hogg is on The Breakfast Club and they are pushing John Stewart to be the next president. Ya'll think he'd have a chance?

As I told y'all back in November after Trump won:

THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY HAS NOTHING

NOTHING

All they have are taxes and feelings

Taxes and feelings will work for a while, but not forever.

And Barrack Obama is not walking through that door. This is the problem really, the DNC doesn't understand that BO was a transcendent figure and you can't replicate that. People like that only come around every once and a while.

So they keep trying to recapture that feeling and that movement but you can't fake the funk.

The American people might not be the sharpest tacks but we're not stupid.

Trump approval ratings are low yeah sure...the Dems approval ratings are even LOWER because the people realize that they don't have a plan and they don't have any ideas other than "We're not Trump" and the aforementioned taxes and feelings.

No message, no direction, no ACTUAL platform to speak of.

Just Bernie and AOC rallies and trying to convince people that gentrification is good, cars are bad, and that being a woman is simply an aesthetic or a feeling.

Without clicking the video - he’s done all the right things as far as pushing for challenges to incumbents who suck. I’ll have to see what he said here.

Bro wait you had me agreeing with you until you said Americans are not stupid. Bro yes the fukk we are. You’re right about there not being another Obama, but the second mistake the DNC made was thinking Americans are not stupid. Sure, You can lie to them and tell them they are smart, but you can’t lie to yourself and believe that Americans are not dumb.

Be mentally ill brehs. The Democratic Party platform was literally essentially giving the entire country the rights and benefits people have in New York State. But all you do is respond to extremes like the GOP wants you to do so you regurgitate stupid shyt like this. Dems are mid but the idea that people are making some actual one to one comparison of them versus Trump is a fundamental misunderstanding of politics. This is someone who believes something to be a true and then a result happens and he attributes it to the shyt he believed with no data to back him up. The Democratic Party had over performed in every election they’ve had since Trump won, what the fukk are you talking about? The Democratic Party’s problem is exactly that they underestimate the stupidity of the voters they are trying to reach and forget that their most informed voters are also the most leftist and prone to just sit out an election.

Bro pushing for challenging incumbents isn’t the same as doing them himself. For all that shyt talk he should be positioning himself to run for office.

No I mean that is what Hogg has been advocating. AND OF COURSE, as I thought. He never said any of this in the video. He just shared an anecdote about how Stewart helping tog et a veteran’s healthcare bill passes that meant something to him because he has 4 Navy family members. Charlemagne threw that shyt out there. This thread is a microcosm of politics. @Born2BKing created a thread with a false and inflammatory title and no one pressed play and people and just arguing against nothing.

If Jon Stewart were to run, he would win the nomination easily.

And if he didn’t, he could split off the Democratic platform, run as an independent and still win. He’s that popular among liberals.

But Stewart has always said he has zero interest in running for office. And I believe him.

Pushing him to run is just a mental exercise. It won’t happen.
