Recall Verb's assault on Holla, where Verb played the part of Big Gerald, telling Holla to leave all that street life shyt alone and stop disrespecting the life he was given. Day said "son" in a literal way to play on that classic Verb onslaught. If you already caught all this, it just shows how paranoid I was listening to battlerap at work around a bunch of highwaters and tight khakis.

Yea I wasn't that impressed with day either. Not that he can't spit but it just sounded like he brought verses for anybody while verb was actually battling him.

Verb 2nd was crazy

Daylyt only went crazy during the last round while Verb have two consistent rounds so I give it to Verb.

On second watch Verb 2-1..for one reason, we knew this nikka fukked up at total slaughter, we don't need bars about the weird shyt you pulled b..daylyt spit some cold shyt during the first..then continued the total slaughter shyt again starting the second rd and finished it on some dizaster hyped up shyt..naw b, Verb came directly at this nikka all 3 rds.. and hit his target, daylyt killed that 3rd but in order to give him the entire bout we needed to see that 3rd round 3 times...we didn't get that.. and back to you Emanuel Steward

tbh this has been one of my main critiques with daylyt sometimes. A lot of battlers be doing the same thing.

For some reason, I don't mind that approach if 1. They sprinkle in some personal stuff, which Day did in every round and 2. They are very good at it, which Day is (my opinion). That said, it is a weak point that gets exposed when the other battler comes fully prepared with a personal onslaught, which Verb did here (his first round was subpar imo, but 2 and 3 were nasty and perfectly crafted for time).

Battle was good enough that fans won. I still haven't voted for a winner.
