My girl tried to tell me she deserved a 30k ring cause I can afford it.

Off the strength of her having the audacity to say some fukk shyt like that if I do marry her she's not getting a ring at all.
Real talk my dude. Just bc you can afford it doesn't mean you have to buy it, doesn't mean its actually worth 30k and doesn't mean she deserves a 30k ring. Not saying anything bout ya old lady :whoa: just in general :ehh:

Breh my car only cost $15k :mindblown: It just doesn't make sense to me. But in a females mind it does I guess. But on the real. If you take away all the bullshyt how much is that diamond actually worth. Its natural so its not like it took hours, days, etc for someone to make. All they did was dig it up, clean it up and ship it. where are these astronomical marked up prices coming from? How do they figure its worth that much

To be honest if you get a good diamond it is a valuable commodity so you can sell it for more than you purchased it for when it appreciates ....

 hey pal watch your mouth dnt disrespect her opinion or her family values and beliefs. When you find a special girl no amount of money will stop u from making her happy....who hurt u breh breh, y are u so cold.

nobody hurt me. I have that special girl. And she's already happy with what we have. Happiness is not in spending an amount of money. I'm sorry that you assume the way I feel about this topic means Im "hurt" or that some woman is going to inspire me to make such a silly expenditure.

Yeah I was harsh, I'll give you that. I just get irritated with the sheep of society who let the marketing of corporations shape their "traditions".

As the article says a diamond engagement ring isn't even traditional, 90 percent didn't buy a diamond. Now it's the norm because a diamond company told you to do that. I just feel sorry to the people that damn near enslave them selfs to live up to these contrived traditions. People amount us do not think for themselfs and yes it makes me . I be wanting to slap the shyt out these robots

great marketing to get you to spend your money.

first thing these trollups want to do after is show their friend the ring, and get it appraised :sas1:

You need an independent appraisal to insure jewelry. If you buy a nice expensive ring and don't get an independent appraisal and insurance then you're probably stupid.

Vilify smart financial behavior as another misplaced target of hatred in your endless misogonostic ramblings, breh.

To be honest if you get a good diamond it is a valuable commodity so you can sell it for more than you purchased it for when it appreciates ....

Maybe not more but in today's day and age a good quality diamond will never be worthless. Ask queen reincar how much his used LV scarves are worth now.

Just proposed in Feb...man I bought what I could afford and my fiancé was more than happy with what I got her, she just wanted a ring so we could start this marriage thing.

I'm tellin u brehs, find you a woman that doesn't care for all that materialistic stuff. Mines is comfortable in her own skin and enjoys the simple things...She's completely happy with her ring and told me not to spend a grip on it she has her priorities straight, we just bought a crib so we both understand priorities. Even our wedding rings aren't too expensive, but neither of us is really materialistic. Our focus is our relationship.

Get with women who only care about PRICE brehs...I dealt with one of those, worst four months of my life. So happy and appreciative to have the woman I have right now, she just gets it about life. If y'all arguing about prices of rings NOW, imagine what's in store for the marriage. :snoop:

I saved cash and spent more than that...but I have no debt, career is upwards, I'm solid and everything is paid for :yeshrug: so....to each their own, but don't spend it if you can't afford it.
Same situation here. Had a hookup so I got WAY more ring than I would have normally gotten but i spent more than than suggested. Hit the cashier with a bunch of hundreds like :takedat: Felt like :to: immediately after though :skip:

Now that the whole thing is over (wedding and all), I feel great about the purchase. She loves it and gets multiple compliments daily and I'm not in debt.

Whats crazy is if i showed this article to most women, they still would call a dude cheap for not wanting to drop major bread on a ring
what woman say doesn't really mean anything. if she want a large rock, she can a) purchase one for herself or b) find a man who's going to get her what she wants.

My wedding ring was $600. I got her half of a paycheck. She's lucky I didn't get the $399 version.
