Yeah, I think the bottom line is if he's going to give negative feedback (sincere or not, valid criticism or not), he needs to expect some hostility. Or like you said, he has to change the way he does things. It's not fair but it's reality based on what has already happened. I don't think he should be receiving threats over a damn review, but you can't control how people will think and react. To the restaurant owners he isn't a Gordon Ramsay, but a breh with a platform trying to fukk up their money.

That's this generation's fault. They literally created the social media "influencer" lane and make these people .... well "influential".

I was in the ATL with the wife & kids and took the lil ones to Legoland in Philpps Plaza. We were staying at the AC hotel and the Wife wanted Italian and we saw a place called Davio's. I saw this young cat walking from out of there and asked him how was the food. He told me check out some random person's Tik Tok bc they could give a better opinion of it than him. So then I asked if it was some other spots he would suggest and he again told me to search Tik Tok [gave me a few people names] and that's how he find places to eat.

Nicca could even give me his own opinion of something as simple as a place to eat.

So we were back at the hotel and my wife was having a convo with a lady in the lobby. The lady's daughter was trying to tell the mom of a place to eat at that some person on Instagram said had the best soul food in the city.

Dawg, his family getting a 2-hr wait with everybody else, and him getting the welcome wagon as soon as he walked in the door ain’t good service in any book. I’m not even gonna get into the rest of the story I saw, but the fact that this was (seemingly, I have only seen a handful of dudes content) the only time the community came out in droves to agree with his takes, because they have been powerless while facing the same treatment, would lead me to believe that’s the norm, not the exception.

Me personally, I’m not getting into a war with my customers if I get in the service industry, unless I perceive some true disrespect (and please point me to said disrespect if it’s in this situation). Otherwise that’s just emotional af, which needs to be removed from business as much as possible.

I’m not really attacking your opinion, as I agree that their motivation comes from their money being “fukked with”. The difference in opinion comes from who’s fukkin with the money. I agree they need to confront who’s responsible, but that would require a mirror and accountability. They’ve pretty clearly shown a lack of one of those.
