It solidifies offensive production for the Spurs in the backcourt.

The reality is it’s probably going to take Harper until 2028 to be a reliable player…if he ever does. And by that point moving on from Fox wouldn’t be difficult if Harper has shown the ability to take over.

Castle seems like more of an open question because while his motor and willingness to be coached is amazing, he may never become the type of scorer that threatens defenses.

Does it make things crowded? Maybe, but guard depth is a problem any team would love to have.

Fox can shoot - once again, people clearly don’t watch the Kings. Dude can and always has been a middy magician and added the 3 two seasons ago. But the world acts like playing with broken finger on your shooting hand an entire season when you were told to get surgery makes no difference. These posts will age badly.

The Spurs have been stacking picks for years now. And likely will continue to do so.

Adding some picks with Fox is an easy thing to do if the Spurs have to.

I agree but let’s say potentially Giannis or Jaylen Brown want out 2027 season, could Fox and Castle (or another young player) and some picks get that done? Most teams won’t be able to offer much better than that

He’s not a great shooter. He is capable especially from midrange, but teams have and will continue to be comfortable going under screens on him.

He has no role there. His path to greatness in SA was at PG, assuming Fox would get traded. Now? Fox absolutely ain’t nowhere, and Fox a dog he gonna get his and Harper is not taking his job. Castle will be fine he played off ball at UConn. You have one starting wing slot left and it would be ideal that’s a shooter, considering Castle can’t shoot and Fox and Wemby are average at best.

They’re probably gonna force Harper in as a starter when Devin Vassell or any other shooter would be a better fit. They bout to turn Harper to a role player.
