I agree completely.
We can sit here and place blame on all types of shyt that feels good and displaces responsibility, but as the men of our community, it's our duty to overcome all obstacles and maintain our individual families for the sake of the community as a whole.
There is no amount of marching, voting, tweeting, protesting, or intellectual grandstanding that will replace the real, unsexy job of being a consistently responsible caretaker, provider, and disciplinarian for your family.

Incarceration and drug abuse are a small part of it, but they certainly do not represent the majority.I blame all the drugs they pumped into our communities first and foremost and then I blame black men for allowing themselves to succumb to their addiction. Black family dynamics were trending upwards thru the roof during the 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s. Then the Regans absolutely killed off the black family in the 80’s

So what's your excuse for the nikkas in their 20s today, that was born in the 90s, that continue to pump out babies and not take care of them?
I work at an elementary school full of children with behavioral/social issues that have little to no interaction with their fathers.
Most of the contact/interactions I have with parents/caretakers usually goes mom/grandma/auntie/"uncle"/grandfather.
The children that have little to no behavioral/social interaction issues usually have a dad that is at the school at least once a week, and they are an active participant in every aspect of their children's upbringing.
I even have a couple dope boys that come to the school with a hint of herb on their clothes, eyes red as fukk, but they are at the school for every event, drop the kids off most days, and their kids are model students for the most part.
It's time to stop making excuses for our folks and start holding each other accountable for our bullshyt.
Only way we're going to continue to progress.
what's crazy is that just TODAY, a cat i grew up with was on FB live justifying being a dead beat baby daddy to several women:

Clearly the dysfunction is a generational cycle. Those 90’s babies probably had their father dip on them, or were involved with dusty activities for their seed to see and follow down that same path of destruction.
I have no control over a woman's reproductive function, and don't desire to.
If a child is born into what is statistically a more failure prone family situation(raised by single mother), than the primary blame for that lies on the woman, as she has a myriad of legal and often government subsidized options to exercise at each stage of reproduction(insemination, conception, prenatal, postnatal) to prevent that, while a man only has ONE option at ONE stage(insemination- condoms) to prevent it.
Her body, her choice, her responsibility.

Breh, I was born at the end of '78 to a single mother, who was barely 18, and grew up in the 80s/early 90s in one of the worst hoods in this little town called Badnewz, Virginia.
I grew up idolizing and being raised by nikkas that I personally witnessed either get murdered, go to jail for murder, do football numbers for wild drugs, all types of shyt that a little kid should not be exposed to.
I didn't have a real relationship with my father until I was in my 20s.
All that made me do was work my ass off to make sure that when I had children of my own, especially a son, I would never subject them to the same type of childhood that I had.
It made me want to be the greatest father for them that I possibly could and make sure they never grew up in the same type of household/environment that I did.
We gotta stop with these excuses, breh.

I watched a doc on how welfare was created and designed for the man to be ostracized from the household in order for women to receive benefits even if you where married and the husband was earning a below wage income insufficient enough to take care of the home.
