I don't think Ayton fully comprehends what he's just got himself into. He's going to be eviscerated by Bron/Luka/Kobe stans and Lakers supporters/haters all season long. shyt is going about to be worse than what Russ went through considering he doesn't a dedicated stanbase to defend him. :pachaha:
Welcome to the circus :mjlol:

This isn't as crazy a signing as people are making it to be. Ayton is a very mercurial player mentally but when motivated he is very talented. It's a high risk but the reward is worth the risk.
That’s been the problem throughout his career. What have optimism that it will change now?

It won't change.

Fortunately for him, he'll have two of the greatest playmakers feeding him and engineering the direction of the team, so the same dependence and accountability he had on previous teams will be dialed down. Regardless of that, if the Lakers don't win a championship next season, he'll be blamed in some capacity (as will every other player on the team), so it's rather meaningless to debate whether he'll change or not.

Isn't his biggest issue being completely checked out when he's not the #1 option tho?

He's got a lot of issues. I don't think anyone knows the full extent of them except himself. The fact that this is the first team he's willingly wanted to go to, and he knows he'll be behind Luka and Bron, suggests to me that this is the role he wants, or the role that'll get him paid.

I don't think he's under any illusion he's doing to LA to tbe the #1 option.

Guys has been to a final and made so much money..the only thing he is worried about is getting an injury before his next contract. Every NBA player that isn't playing meaningful basketball ahs an effor tissue.

He won't be the problem with this Lakers team. The problem will be how talented some fo the teams in the west are.

This dude is the real Tinman, absolutely no heart. He won't be able to handle the scrutiny that comes with playing for a team like the Lakers.

What the fukk were yall expecting Lakers to sign? Prime Dwight? They needed a big man and they sent one back to Charlotte (who then got traded to other team anyway).

Lakers should have kept Zubac as he's now one of the best bigs in the league. Should have never traded him to the Clippers.

Not much out there when you got Luka and Bron does not want to take a paycut. Those two getting paid heavily leaves your team to not so many choices.
