Man screw Ed O'Bannon, all I know is when I was in college EVERY OU player would be lined up alongside everyone else outside Gamestop waiting for the new NCAA videogame to release. These dudes weren't concerned about getting paid to be in a videogame. They were elated to see themselves in a videogame.

Not saying they would've turned down a payment or don't deserve it and not that I never heard other complaints(it was usually from players who never even saw the field), but nobody ever complained about being in a video game

something needs to change

IMO, the compromise they need to reach is allowing these dudes to make as much money as they can, that doesnt come from the schools. that means they can sign all the fukkin jerseys they want, and make money off being used in the videogames.

you cant pay kids to play, thats just not right. but stopping them from making money off of their own names, when so much is being made at the top, is disgusting

Logistically impossible

The Power 5 will gain independence to pay them an elevated stipend and it won't go much farther than that. Anything above that and the schools will eventually outsource it to a semi-pro league.
