This has been on my mind for the longest but people forget that pac was a mid level cat before death row

Me Against the World was a number one album before Death Row. That was the album where he made that leap and that's why MTV and every other media outlet that covered music covered 2Pac going to Death Row like it was the biggest move in history at the time. Death Row certainly didn't hurt his fame, and probably moved him up another notch, but he would've been big without them.
