This sentiment is waaaaaay too common with this game. In other words, nikkas that quit on it early prob missing out.
Guilty. I didn't get into until the 3rd try and that was largely due to a Gameranx video on YouTube

Will sound crazy but DS was one of the most relaxing games I've ever played.shyt was oddly therapeutic.

Kojima isn't just nodding to Solid Snake with Death Stranding 2: he's included Metal Gear Solid in his PS5 sequel; Impressions
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach introduces new forms of progression for improving Sam's capabilities, rewarding players for performing routine actions while adding fun layers of customization and flexibility.
The width of rivers can double due to rainfall, while natural hazards such as earthquakes called "gate quakes" and sandstorms can occur.
SkillUp very positive.
SkillUp: "my god, he's done it again" "the best opening sequence in a game ever" "20 hours in I had the best visual experience in a game ever"
Hilariously SkillUp says it is nothing like MSG.
In many ways, Death Stranding 2 feels like Metal Gear Solid 6 - an extension of the open world design and smooth transition between stealth and combat the fifth game provided. Mexico and Australia are filled with enemy bases to infiltrate, with Sam able to sneak around for silent takedowns, or simply fire away with powerful weapons.
-Bandit camps get larger and enemies there more lethal if you ignore them
-, Dollman can be thrown into the sky by the player to observe areas with enemies, plot routes and observe slopes. Although the action of throwing the doll failed a few times, it can be very useful if you don't have the materials to build a tower.
-Sam's skill tree is dynamic and evolves based on how you play, showing you skills thet fit the playstile you have used so far (similar to games like elder scrolls)
-Side quests also give you special skills beyond equipment
Sprinting around and dodging gunfire, I learned that I could perform pro-wrestling moves like a crossbody block or Kenny Omega's V-Trigger if I jumped while approaching enemies. A mixture of melee combat and explosives (non-lethal of course) took out the rest of the bandits, I robbed the camp of its cargo, loaded it up onto a stolen enemy vehicle, and drove off to cash it in. I'm not going to say that this game is "MGS V meets Death Stranding," but it's certainly a hell of a lot closer to that than the first game was.
