I tried to play part 1 and the plot was so stupid, I gave up pretty early on.

I have a little more patience now and wanna try this game. Do I NEED to understand the story from P1 to play this?

Yeah, you would have been lost in the DS2 story and be like wtf and confused because you skipped the DS1 story.

If you didn't like the first one, you're basically throwing away money by grabbing the sequel. Its more action this go around and you get a lot of gadgets to play with much sooner than in the original, but at its' core, it's still the same gameplay loop along with a -- often -- convoluted and wacky plot. It's your money though.

The plot in this game is pretty stupid too. Its even more unserious now.

There's a lot to love about the game outside of the nonsensical story tho.

Im deep in the game and it took me mad long to get that

What i did was purchased the Faster Order Prep perk and kept redoing his recovery delivery in between main story orders. I also picked up whatever packages he had along the way back there.
