If Grimes was showing in the summer league, preseason, & practice he could ball, then it doesn't take a rocket scientist to believe he WILL contribute bro. You're making this harder than what the situation really calls for. Grimes was known for these things in college & it translated into the NBA. I believe any other coach would've given Grimes an opportunity sooner than Thibs because of all that.

We villanize Thibs because he's keeps doing the same thing over & over again thinking he'll have different results. Only recently, (where I think the FO stepped in & told him to play the young guys & make RJ more of a focal point) Thibs started doing things a little different. But Thibs is gonna Thibs when it comes to sub patterns, late game decisions, making adjustments & we're still seeing the same results in the 3rd & 4th quarter of games

Everyone can ball... This is the NBA. Once again, he scored 6 points in his "big game" in the preseason. Pretty sure I can find numerous young Knicks bums who were impressive in a preseason game who scored similarly. His summer league was mostly unimpressive until the last few games. He was picked 25th.

Look I see the same things as you guys but don't try to gaslight me and act like Grimes was this amazing player who was only being held back by Thibs. He had a couple of horrendous offensive games before he got that start. He's ahead of his years defensively but it was always the offensive side of the ball that there were questions

Yo why Thibs can’t get Cam minutes man. Son deadass Cam and Randle play well together when Reddish plays that bullock role and Cam plays great with Barrett as a runner small forward with RJ. Cam versatility is absolutely insane.

I want Thibs back next year but Cam really needs to be the starting Small Forward next year
