nikka I’m a mechanic apprentice, been fukking with cars before I could tie my shoes:mjlol:

My owners manual said 93 octane so that’s what I put. My particular engine, 3VZ-FE,is the same engine that was used in the Lexus ES 300 and Lexus RX...high compression ratio so it calls for premium fuel

Trust me I’ve put regular in my car when my pockets was tight...car runs Like absolute shyt and gas mileage is terrible

:jbhmm: Your 92 Camry requires 93 octane per the owners manual?

Yep..the 4 cylinder camrys don’t require 93 premium but the V6s do. We talking bout 90s and early 2000s Camrys, I think all the camrys nowadays take regular.

90s Maximas require premium too if I remember correctly

You can fukk your car up if you don’t put the proper octane of fuel in. A guy with a 98’ Deville came into the shop with some engine problems, I asked him did he frequently use regular and of course he says yes.

Only older Americans i see on a daily basis with 200k+ are crown vics/Lincoln town cars and various Ford & GM pickup or cargo vans

Vast majority of American cars are in the junkyard before they hit 170k or on they second engine/trans

They trash breh, you’d have to be stupid to buy one in 2018. Only American brand with decent reliability in my experiences is Buick

So GM, the maker of Buick and Chevy, make Buick's more reliable even though they use the same parts in all of their brands :leostare:

Most of those cars are probably on their second engines.
My old Chevy cavalier had 202k miles when I sold it,my pop Taurus has 200k miles same engine, mom can has 235k miles same engine...trust me it's plenty old GMs and Ford's running around.

But cars like the Roadmaster were a rebranded Caprice/Impala or the Regal sharing parts with the Pontiac Grand Prix or Chevy Lumina :leostare:

GM shares parts with all of the brands :leostare:
