It's pretty much a fact that we started as something like Mermaids. Over time, humans would get stuck on land and die cause they couldn't walk back to the water. Evolution over time gave us legs (I read this shyt somewhere).

Say if our carbon levels went up 30% we all would die over a few years. But the people who survived and has kids, their kids would be resistance to the carbon increase.
