Define Love

To me, above all... love is a choice.
It is more of an action than an emotion.
Giving more than taking.
And always sacrifices for the care of others.
At the heart of it, it is to give your best to someone else without expecting anything in return.

I believe to truly experience love, one much consistently CHOOSE to show it.

Emotions are fleeting. So all of this "i love you" bs that most people throw around now a days isnt love. Its a dopamine high.

I think love is the most raw feeling next to blind anger that takes over your rational judgment. You aren't conscious of how much that person has done for you, you aren't thinking about what ways they've betrayed you. Despite you always putting them first in your life.

Love is what makes you want to build with that person, hear their voice the first thing in the morning and last thing at night. You have a natural smile and a glow whenever you think about them. They're literally living through you, having experienced life with that person without them you become a lost soul.

Love in the sense of mate/partner....is losing yourself in someone else...essentially. I almost categorize it as mental illness...but there is no cure...except time.
