The leaders of pro blackness was garvey huey newton and malcolm x. To me pro black.

1. Having a black wife and family. U got to make sure u keeping black people going.

2. Loving ur blackness without having to be cosigned by white people.

3. Working at the grass roots level like tariq or lavar ball. At the mainstream level pro blackness will be watered down. U got create ur own platform to push the idea of pro blackness with no worry of backlash.

4. Working with and within the black community. Pushing self love and teaching blacks about true black history.

5. Never cape or take a non black side on a issue unless they are willimg to sacrifice for black people.

I knew you listened to him. That Black melanin metaphysics is the GOAT. Yeah I heard he's in bad health like a year ago. Don't know the update since then. Hopefully he's in better health. He's needs to get his weight down number 1

Good ass thread. It’s good when we can trim the fat and try to establish the nomenclature. I see a lot of brothers conflate terms and misrepresent certain values a lot on and off here.

Without the extrapolations. I see pro-black as a social structure (having to do with the idea of a “people”) that compliments the economic structure of Pan Africanism (having more to do with nation, markets and the innerowrkings of a government) That’s not to say that every pan African is pro black (see arabs in North Africa), but like socialism and communism, they’re best suited working in tandem with one another.

Unfortunately I would have to agree with dude in OP who said being gay and pro black don’t mesh. If you’re not working for our kids then you’re not pro black.

Development and Improvement for folks of Black Afro descent. Simple indeed. For business, it's key to finding folks that are parallel to the same avenues, you're trying to take.

those who are creating this ideal list are describing the perfect pro-black person, who since birth, has had this amazing influence of pro black leaders and ideologies all coming from two immaculate people. A mother and father who indoctrinate said person of all the greatness being black is.

Now if we reset and come back to reailty, the human condition is very flawed and sometimes instincually deceiving. Life happens and most of us would rather feed our children than stay home all day spouting garveyism becuase “we aint working for no white man”

to disregard a person who does so much for his people but becuase said person has a mixed child or a non black spouse is beyond immature. And is actually missing the point.

A wo/mans actions towards the betterment of his people in the scope of race is more important than who he lays with.

I mean I hear what you're saying, breh. And I'm not trying to say that his contributions aren't exceptional and all that. But personally, my definition of pro-black.... first and foremost means part of a nuclear black family.
