So I graduate from college in May, and I've made the decision to join the military afterwards. I've done some research, and that seems like the best option for me. The number one thing I want to be able to do is financially support myself so I can move away from my father (I can't tolerate that man, and vice versa). The military is a guaranteed paycheck and a place to stay, plus some pretty nice benefits and job training, and you get to play with some badass toys. There are downsides to being in the military of course, but overall I can't see any option better than the military right now.

I wasn't interested in it then, but yeah, joining the military right out of HS would have probably been a much better option than squandering 5 years of my life and thousands of dollars on college.
Bruh im Air Force. If I could do it all over again I would have gone to college 1st. You did the right thing by going to school breh. I believe Uncle Sam will pay off damn near all of your Student loan debt right?

good luck when they send you to a country you never heard of; over some shyt that ain't got nothing to do with you or your peoples; for the monetary gain for a few under the guise of protecting this country that'll treat you like shyt as soon as you step back on its grounds; that's if you make it back of course :salute:

Lol, I don't have any "ideals." I also don't have any illusions about what the military is about. I see myself basically as a mercenary. The military is a means for me to make a living- nothing more.
