notice how your eager to hold him financially accountable but say nothing about the women who live off benifits provided for the entire time they have a minor in their home?

thats whats wrong with our society. woman AUTOMATICALLY gets custody even if she cant afford it, society foots the bill and she raises more of our youth to live in that cycle of poverty. and people want to blame the man for everything. illogical. she gets a free ride if she cant handle her responsibility and the man gets to see the inside of a cell. this is a corrupt system,.

Like I said, the system is not perfect. All I have been saying in this thread is, as a man, if you don't want to pay child support, you have some pretty easy, simple choices to make. Like with your example of a woman living completely off the govt................................................................................................ why would a man associate with, let alone SLEEP WITH, let alone NUT INSIDE such a woman? You are right that the courts are not fair to the man, but the man was not fair to himself.

And like I said before, even with the child support thing, I'm not buying that men get it worse financially. Which is more expensive.... a $400/mo CS payment, or raising a child, even with that money? If you think you can raise a kid on less than $400/mo I have a bridge to sell you.

Never made sense to me why a mother who makes $30k a year gets custody over a father who makes $85k

It's a form of socialism. Taking his money to provide her a better standing of living that she couldn't provide for herself.

Now if dude said "I don't want nothing to do with the kid" or "I don't want custody" then he has to pay to play

But if he wants custody, he should get it. Especially if he doesn't need financial support for her

Even for someone making $30K a year, $5000 more a year is not much of an upgrade. U nikkas act like the average CS payment is taking women from the projects to the penthouse shyt how much of that $430 has to go to another bedroom? Food? Healthcare? Delaware has recently brought about a new way to disperse child support funds through a child support card.

This new experiment is similar to the Food Stamp card, but only a portion of the child support money will be added to the card.

This measure was taken to prevent parents from misusing funds that are meant to help with costs associated with raising children, such as school related expenses, food, etc.


According to reports, the parent or guardian is required to report the child’s clothing size periodically and the card also does not allow the funds to go to beauty items or adult products.

yea but the mother is still the mother. she is still responsible for 50% of all the childs costs as well. $430 is a supplement on top of what she is already supposed to be providing on her end.

But after reading a few pages, it sounds like ppl are just making this assumption that the father is just dropping off $430 for the kid and not seeing or spending anytime or extra money on the kid.

I know a few dudes that are in this situation. They get kids part time. One dude gets his kids 2 weeks out of the month, the other dude gets his kid every other weekend.
they are both paying CS(as they should...no complaints there) but when the kids are there they are still paying for everything thats there.
Not to mention when the kids call up and ask dad for some extra cash throughout the week they are always there to give.

extra shoes?
yup dad goes out to buy that stuff.

Which is perfectly normal, and something that every parent(on either side) should expect from a parent.

but there is NO REASON whatsover that ANYONE should be against knowing exactly how that CS money is being spent. At the end of the day its all for the kids.

No woman or man should be taking that money for themselves.

A woman that spends that CS money for her self is NO BETTER than a dude that just doesn't pay his.

However your statement above is a simple no brainer! What I challenged was your inaccurate, routine implications that single men completely deserve what they get or are at 100% at fault for having kids out of wedlock with dusty women when the data shows that this clearly isn't the case & that men who were once actually married with family values or separated (after marriage) are also bearing the brunt of family courts & child support system.

I dont know where you are getting your data, but 1 I didn't imply men are 100% at fault for anything and 2 the data doesnt line up with your line of thought. For starters most child custody cases are not even decided by courts And of those decided outside of courts more than half result in the mom and dad agreeing to give the mom custody In fact of all custody cases only 4% go to court, and 1% actually go all the way

Why? Probably because dads and lawyers realize a CS payment is a hell of a lot easier than custody, and the dads can still be part of the kids lives. Well, most dads.... over a quarter of dads want nothing to do with their kids after divorce. But we wont get into that

I think the child support consequences can be extreme and they should definitely take into account the situation of the parent paying. If they lose their job, they shouldn't be punished for something they're not capable of providing and there should also be a more reasonable time limit on how long the person should be allowed to not pay support before they are punished especially if they can provide a valid reason for failure to pay.

I think the court system is too involved but sometimes it's necessary especially considering how many deadbeat parents there are out here.

Unfortunately as a result there are a lot of good men who are victims of this system.

There's really no 100% foolproof solution and getting rid of child support is definitely not the right decision.

If u lose your job, file for unemployment and request to modify your c/s. Now if u quit your job, you're just dumb unless u had a very good reason. In that case u may not be able to modify your support because u can't qualify for unemployment. A lot of people work, then when the withholding order comes in they quit their jobs. Constantly running from the support. That's how they get behind by not even confronting it when it first pops up.

Alot of women abandon their children after they lose custody. Just straight up drop all contact with the kid and have another kid to replace them. It's not talked about as much. They feel like they don't have to pay child support, even though they were blood thirsty for it when it was the man paying it. It's hilarious

Truth right here, the rare time that the father gets custody, women will be bigger deadbeats than the worst of men.


My mom had her first child really young, the father got custody.

10 year olds are much more expensive than 1 year olds, I have no earthly idea if what you pay is also expended on your older child, maybe it is. Maybe it isn't though. Not trying to come at you personally.

I disagree, my ten yr old should be less. No childcare other than camp during the summer. No pampers, special food, or additional healthcare needs. The older children get the less the child is dependent on you. Only thing expensive about my daughter is the cell phone she wants or trip she wants to go on. I don't get reimbursed for any trip money I give for her to go on. We went to Cancun for family trip not a single dime given to me by her mom. I don't even expect her too. But let her go somewhere..dad can I have some money..You going to say no to your daughter

No, my parents have been married for 33 years.

I know you don't want to hear this, but men have control and responsibility of where they put their dikks.

And 99% of the time, literally, the courts have nothing to do with how things go with child support.
