Mugen - nice flip. Real smooth soul shyt. I know drumless beats in these days but I personally am not a fan of them. Feel like the track would have been petter with percussion added

Interloper - Old school 3-6 feel. Nice change ups. Was able to bob my head more to this beat.

Tracks are dope.

@Mugen The sample chops are nice, I wish there were drums added to this, the track would make a great intro for a project.

@Interloper I like the drums and sample chops you used they meshed really well. The only critique i have is that the master bus must be pushed to the limit. and the output didn't have to be that loud, but Loud mixes seem to be a staple in a lot of places.

great battle

My vote for this one is goes to @Interloper

Got damn, Mugen's beat is like a drum snare away from being fukking flames. That sample flip and overall smoothness was brilliant stuff. :snoop:

but with that said.

even with drums, I don't know if that shyt could have beaten Interloper's beat. That shyt was epic with so many layers. Had a crunk vibe, eastcoast edge, with a lil sould mixed in. Beat was fukking amazing got damn. The transitions were fire too. :ohlawd:

This was a great battle to start this shyt off. :salute: major props to both.

Mugen really cool soulful flip but like others said i'm not a fan of drumless beats.

Interloper killed it! I like the different drum elements used. It was a mix of old and new hiphop.
High-Passed vocals are really a nice layer in your beats.
Somehow it kinda reminded me of Kanye West and Jay-Z beats for Watch The Throne. Dope!

:wow: both of yall went in with the sample choices and chop work.

For Mugen i kept waiting for some hard drums to come in on some :ohlawd:. I was getting hype:mjgrin:

Interloper had a flat out banger,:picard: I believe Mugen's could have matched it with the right drum choice though.

Tradional hip hop aint dead thank god lol

Anyway mugen, great sample, was flip wonderfully and had that early to mid 2000s feel and vibe..only thing that it lacked for my taste were hard hitting drums..but i can see modern mcs that love these drumless or minimal drum beats rocking it....fire

Interloper, again great sample....great transitions and drums....very very smooth just a flat out banger but both beats are instrumentals that different type of mcs can destroy.

Am going with interloper on this but not by much honestly..
