The one thing that hasn’t clicked for Derozan yet is that he’s not as good as he thinks he is. I can post a bunch of advanced stats that indicate that Derozan was very often a net negative for the team because of his ineptitude to do anything but play isolation ball.

I don't understand when he said he wasn't given chances. He was given lots of chances, Masai could've blown this team up when he inherited it. Instead, he kept overpaying for a guy who didn't do anything besides shoot mid-range jumpers for 7 years. The Raps kept getting bounced out of the playoffs, while their supposed franchise player almost never played well during it. He gave soundbytes after every playoff exit that sounded like he was conceding to LeBron, which could not have been good for team morale. Scrubs like Gerald Henderson, Doug McDermott and Joe Harris would have career nights whenever they were guarded by DeMar DeRozan. Team kept winning whenever he was out injured, and often looked better without him.

I don't think he understands - he was given a ton of free reign to do whatever he wanted here. No one besides Casey would've let him keep chucking away without playing defense for so many years. I'm interested to see how he'll play with Pop.

Good intw. I like his attitude going into SA and how he specifically said his only issue was not getting some info that something could happen. I'm far from being a fan of his as a player but I don't see anything wrong with this intw and his attitude. Maybe in a sense he got too comfortable in Toronto and now like he said he's got a chip on his shoulder. Will be interesting seeing how things work out in SA.

Raps did him dirty but they as an organization had to blow that shyt up. Loyalty to Derozan was only getting them bounced in the 2nd they were going to have to blow it up sooner or later

If you don't meet targets set for you at work and your boss gives you like 5 years to get it right, if he cans you can you really talk about loyalty?

DeRozan never delivered in the clutch.

Just hearing the convo second hand,i dont understand where he thinks he was lied too....They told him no he wasnt gonna be traded but that doesnt mean if the kawhi trade becomes available you dot change shyt up...he didnt promise him no trade...

Masai put his cards out and fired Casey, that should tell you every option is going to be explored....No GM is gonna tell a player in the off season were working on a trade for you when nothing is on the table or finalized :lolbron:

Demar just butthurt...

comedy how fast Raptors fans turned on him. whole league knows they did Demar dirty, gonna be hard to land FAs (it already is, but even more so now)

Raptor fans for 2 years been shytting on Demar and lack of defense and his ball stopping,i think the cleveland series upped the ante on Demar hating too and no demar wasnt done dirty he just mad...Yall mufukkas had memes and jokes after they lost to Cleveland and now yall trying to switch it up because Masai said enough is enough and made power moves to shake up the core which yall said needed to be done lol.

You nikkas are hypocrites.
