Out here in my damn drawls
I think Shaq needs to :whoa: and tread lightly will Cousins and this whole mentor thing. Coming in with heavy hands on a dude like Cousins will explode, especially given Shaq's ego and control issues :whew:. I know he's saying that he wants to just talk with him, but who knows dealing with these guys.

This gon' be good

:wtf: They could have jettisoned this guy and got good value for him. He's talented, but you can't really make him the leader of your team.

:stopitslime:

Gotta call bs here.

Regardless of how he acts on the court (hes never had a off court issue yet outside of the incidents in practice) dude is top 5 big man level talent who has been injury free( in sac nonetheless)....you dont let this dude walk AND you dont trade him for picks in Sacramentos situation.

They had to pay him cuz someone would of paid him and paid him more. Nobody knows if he cant lead or not yet, he hasnt been in the position to, this team is far from complete

Talent wise he's worth the money and we all know someone would probably throw him the max after the season anyway. And if he doesn't mature than they can always trade him somewhere down the line. But I think his problems are a little overrated. Yeah he pouts some and bytches at the refs but for the most part he's been productive and met expectations on the court and hasn't been accused of anything illegal off the court. Having Shaq in his ear could be the best thing for him if he listens and Shaq gets him to play near the goal at all times. Cousins is a decent shooter but a better inside player and he shouldn't take a shot no farther than 15 feet from the basket. With his size and talent he can be the modern day Shaq as far as being unstoppable on the block plus he's a better rebounder than Shaq I think and could get 15 a game easily. And unlike Howard and Drummond he's a natural scorer and can create his own offense when he has the ball on the block. And unlike Bynum he is not perpetually injured.

Wherever nikkas need to be told on
This kind of reminds me of Denver signing Javale McGee to $11Ms a year. Teams are signing potential, hoping to win the big man lottery, even if it means taking chances on airheads and knuckleheads. Even though there are some talented bigs out there, I don 't think anyone is dominant, including Dwight. And while PG and SF appear to be the influential positions right now, that C position is still intriguing. Remind yourself how critical Tyson Chandler was to that Mavs championship team. Check out Hibbert's improvement and how that has made Indiana a legit contender. Same with Lopez in BK. That's what most teams are hoping for. Detroit is interesting because they have a front court with crazy potential. LWO went on a Save Dwight campaign because that C position still means something and if you have someone making an impact in the post on both sides of the court you become instantly more competitive. shyt might be risky paying potential but that shyt could pay off handsomely if nikkas make that shift.

Exactly the bolded:salute:. I reading this thread like what the hell, I love DMC attitude and competitiveness, sometimes it gets the best of him but its better than having a Vince Carter attitude and not giving a fukk. If DMC actually played in structured and winning environment all that misconstrued perceptions of DMC would change.

nikka just wants to win hes immature but hes not a Beasley type the way some people are talking in here. At worst right now hes a top 5 big in the game already...if he stays healthy and can get more effcient around the rim hes got next

You're right.. never ocured to me :ohhh:

Coleman had better skill set tho. Smoother J and better range. Too bad Coleman was also lazier. If Coleman had Larry Johnson or Chris Webber's work ethic :ohlawd:
