I don't see why the lakers should do it if all they are getting back is Cousins. Okafor is Cousins without being a headcase.

cousins is 24/12 right now. lakers would need to wait 3 years before okafor gets to that level. maybe they feel good about getting d-wade and want to make one last run with kobe.

Cousins is not some once in a generational talent and neither is Okafor. You're trading a proven offensive threat and headcase that's plagued your team for a guy in Okafor with a similar skillset but maybe more coachable and equally inept on defense.

Cousins is pretty good at drawing charges and he's tough, but he's not a stopgap in the middle so honestly it wouldn't be the most retarded thing in the world to dump cousins on a team with a guy like Kobe that can maybe coach him up.

Cousins is a guaranteed 24/10 and the best center in the nba (imo) while Okafor could be a bust for all we know. And Cousins is a headcase because the Kings are one of the worst ran franchises in sports. Its a dumpster fire over there. His teammates dont help the cause either

Okafor won't be a bust, he's virtually the same exact size as Cousins (Okafor has a smaller standing reach), he's going to get his and be a 20/10 guy most likely, his issues will be on defense.

We dont know that for a 100% fact. We dont know any rookies that will be a bust or not. Chances are he wont but you never know. He could get injured or his game not translate to the NBA. It has happened before. I do know that Cousins is giving you 24/10 wherever he is and the best center in the league.

He's going to be a 20/10 guy barring injury, he plays a power game, has a soft touch around the rim and is skilled, you can pencil him in for 20/10 now as long as he stays healthy.
