i been saying dudes gonna be a problem with the lost weight. i can see him playing alot of 3 if his outside J has improved as much as they say. he's definitely got the lateral mobility and quickness to guard 3s.
On Mason & Ireland: Mason just said all his contacts inside the Lakers are saying everyone is pro D'angelo Russell except Kupchak. He wants Okafor and ultimately he makes the decision.

. Do it MitchTo those saying signing Artest was a mistake, I'm pretty sure Mitch offered Ariza the mid-level exception, which is what they wound up giving Artest. Ariza turned it down from LA but wound up taking exactly that from Houston.
Nah Ariza's people said they were waiting around for an offer and the Lakers never made one since they were persuing Artest.
The 24-year-old Ariza, acquired by Los Angeles last season from Orlando, enjoyed a breakout year this past season with the Lakers, helping Los Angeles to the NBA championship with excellent perimeter defense and clutch three-point shooting. Coach Phil Jackson thought enough of Ariza's abilities that he became a starter down the stretch and in the playoffs, keeping Lamar Odom coming off the bench. But Ariza was looking for a significant raise from the $3.1 million he made this season, and wanted a deal in excess of the mid-level exception.
The Lakers balked, and Ariza began courting other teams. Houston jumped in quickly, with general manager Daryl Morey meeting Ariza in Las Vegas on Thursday.
The Lakers reportedly offered Ariza $5.6 million, the mid-level exception, but some reports say he could command double that amount.
"Trevor wants the fans to know that this is not a matter of greed," said Lee, adding that Ariza sensed the Lakers didn't want him even after his postseason success.

Mitch offered him the mid-level exception and Ariza wanted more from the Lakers. LA passed and snatched up Artest while they could then Ariza ended up taking the damn mid-level exception.
