ADOS has legitimate points about the special, specific needs of black Americans compared to even other black immigrants that a bunch of people who just want to make money off of a movement are hanging onto and selling their brand with. That's where the people who see money to make off of fomenting arguments within the diaspora and attacking the Democratic Party (which deserves legitimate criticism for not doing enough for black people since we are a key part of their base) come in.
I don't really believe all the stuff in the original post. For example, the Democratic Party wouldn't want Bernie to run as anything other than a Democrat because if he runs as an independent, he splits the vote and Trump wins easily. Strategically, they want him to run inside the party. They might not want him to win, but better to risk that than have him peel off millions of votes outside the party.
But I do believe that Democrats don't know what to do with outspoken black folks demanding better treatment because a recent Exhibit A is that they reacted to one outspoken black woman who criticized lobbying on the behalf of a right-wing murderous government with all their firepower.
But all that said, don't let people come in and co-opt what is an important discussion, which is that the descendants of American slaves generated literal trillions in wealth and deserve to have at least a percentage of literal trillions given to them...with interest.
(And also that descendants of American slaves don't have the same experiences as other African immigrants, but that doesn't mean that African immigrants don't get more discrimination than other immigrants, either, and that Democrats need to specifically craft black-centered policies that address the specific needs of all black Americans depending on where they came from and when they came here.)
