I don't disagree that activists make demands. I never said otherwise. So I'm not sure what part of my argument you think this is addressing. Can you clarify?
You have said a couple of times you don’t like the words activists are using. That is confusing.

I can see why you think this given how I started by calling it a nonstarter. But I'm not objecting to activists using whatever language they want. My point is simply about what happens when an elected official runs on that language.

I mean, maybe Trump was effective at communicating circa 2016, but he is showing clear signs of neurological decline. "The weave" seems like a euphemism for early signs of dementia.
But what Loose said was that trump is an effective communicator for the right. He can be drooling and sleeping for 8/10 appearances but if he "owns the libs" or lashes out at their perceived enemies the other two that's enough for them. They're morons. They're cruel. They crave suffering. That's effective for them; mashed potatoes for brains or not.

Have we got to the point where every time we bash the Dems we have to give dementia don undeserved props?

The last day in here hasn’t been filled with our best and brightest I’m afraid

Does that include when he was talking about Arnold Palmer’s meat or stroking the mic like a hbo after dark special or when he was driving a garbage truck around town?

He could have shat on the mic and people would have voted for him. We don’t need to continually give him props because we don’t like the Dems

I get what you're saying but calling him an effective communicator for his base isn't giving him props, it's a statement of fact. His base is a bunch of slackjawed yokels or morons that tense up when they hear Spanish or see a young black kid in a hoodie.

His base wants hungry man tv dinners and the left wants a James beard award winning dining experience. Calling him effective is being incredibly generous, you have to actively push those yokels away in order to not be “effective”. The only thing that would have stopped him from winning their vote is if he said Black Lives Matter on Fox and Friends. Anything other than that he would have had their vote. That’s not effective, that’s meeting the minimum requirements for a bunch of racist/sexist/homophobic white nationalists (some of which were smart enough to disguise themselves in the guise of economic anxiety).

I'm glad some people in here have reading comprehension skills. Clearly people in here haven't met the average trump voter lol

I think they still would have voted for him.

I think that's a distinction without a difference when it comes to being "an effective messenger" for the Republican base.
