The point is none of that polling is going to matter when Dems are campaigning on the large number of AMERICAN CITIZENS who've been detained by ICE versus actual illegal immigrants. Not to mention the AMERICAN CITIZENS who have been murdered on camera by ICE.

I agree with your overall point, but bolded is only true if the Democrats make it true by picking up the mantle. Otherwise, Trump's empty lip service will still be convincing enough to a significant enough percentage of the population compared to Democrat's complete absence. People will pick a liar over someone who doesn't even show up. So if in the next election, JD Vance or whichever MAGA Trump acolyte is the only person saying they will end all wars, I think it will override the fundamental truth of the Trump Administration's hawkish actions to some degree. Would be a terrible self-own by the Democrats.

I think there's probably some point/think piece about the experience of being black in America being analogous to dyslexia (the difficulty decoding what does America want from us. Respectfully disagree. Him thinking that was a good way to relate to a predominately black audience is what's concerning to me. It's not a binary between racist and it's fine. There's a world between the two imo.
