I agree no one was, his promises is what got the voting electorate to come out to vote for him in masses. Promised student loan forgiveness, child care credits, free college education higher mininum wage etc is why people came out overwhelmingly to vote for him. Yes people were tired of Trump but that doesn't mean you actually come out to vote, you have to offer people tangible benefits. The amount of non political people i know that actually voted for biden off the strength of those promises in 2020 then soured on his lack of accomplishments by 2022 was ringing alarm bells for me which is why I been pointing out those concerns since 2022.
Biden is an institutionalist but he actually passed off his policy positions to people ( including progressives) much younger then him which most suspect was due to his aging. Biden main focus was foreign policy which is why most of his domestic policy goes against what he actually believed in 20 year ago. I give credit where it's due to biden, even though he didn't actually accomplish what he ran on he definitely ran a muchhh more left leaning campaign then kamala Hillary
