You say this but a) we don’t know that, b) primaries introduce people to candidates c) campaigning and hearing the public helps shapes views.

This is all speculation from both of us but there is more history with having an actual primary and letting voters decide their candidate than what happened last year. If Kamala wins a primary, she is stronger going into the general election than Biden anointing her in June.

He wasn't seen as politically successful in 2023. Biden's approval ratings dropped in fall of 2021 and never recovered.

I think this whole discussion is weird considering how much we make fun of and don't believe Trump's health pronouncements. Joe Biden may have had cancer for years and was not up front with it along with his cognitive decline.

Agreed. Which is why I'm still searching for what political capital is gained by the liberal media's fascination with presidential office decorum dominating the news cycle.

Tearing the party brand apart to force him to step down in the summer of 2023 didn't do us any favors then and won't do us any favors now.

Yes it did we saved senate seats which was the upside of forcing him to step down. Biden was on the course taking down the entire party with him .

If anyone tore down the party's brand if was joe biden and his administration

The decorum stuff is very modern and made for TV. The position of POTUS never had decorum. George Washington running around Virginia with dead slave teeth should show you that.

A) he was forced to step down in 2024, not 2023
B) he was forced to step down because polling looked bad
C) he destroyed the party’s brand by staying in the election and embarrassing himself in front of Trump during that debate
D) Biden should have never ran for re-election

Biden, and the people around him, are ultimately who fukked up here and we all suffering because of it.
