it was because she sucked personally, AND she was biden's VP. if biden's VP had been some mediocre white man, i wouldn't have wanted to run him either

she had to spend her entire campaign saying "what would you have done different than biden"? "uhh, nothing". THAT was the death sentence

I don't disagree with any of that. But the terms of engagement the Dems have set up over the past few years prevented good faith criticism of Kamala because it was all swept away as racism. Maybe because of how she got the VP role in the first place.
