It's a close fight, but I'll have to give the edge to Elon because if he were in Trump's shoes and had the powers of the Presidency and control of the government he would be pushing even more horrific policies than what we're currently seeing - like mass detention of "non-white undesirables" into camps and forcibly inseminating white women to recover the white birth rate - but if Trump were in Elon's shoes and was the richest man in the world he would just be on TV hocking his bullshyt products and going to award shows. Trump wants attention and adoration, Elon wants to recover Apartheid South Africa. Trump can't even be bothered to show up to work as the President, Elon is willing to burn all of his bridges for his neo-MAGA political project. He's a committed ideologue to this evil agenda in a way that surpasses Trump.

I don’t see how the democrats creating an alliance with Elon until they regain power (White House, and congress) could be a bad thing. It’s better than them doing nothing at all right?

If democrats were truly Machiavellian and used Elon to regain power then discipline him for 2024 wouldn’t you respect them for that?

I would respect the Democrats if they used this schism as an opportunity to explain to people how dysfunctional and evil both Elon and Trump are, and present a virtuous agenda as an alternative to the chaos.

The Democrats had an alliance with Elon during the Obama years. I moreso think Elon being in Trump’s orbit made him more racist/“Nazi” versus Elon being in Trump’s orbit made Trump more racist.
