it's not about "running" on anything, and you know that. it's about the fact that when you propose something, and constantly defend it, republicans then frame you as running on it. and as we saw with Trump's "Kamala is for they/them" ads; it works. so stop playing stupid

and look; i'm not suggesting that all of this identity stuff is bad, or wrong, or republicans get to define culture, etc. republicans are terrible people, and should be pushed back on. but you HAVE to admit that this insane 2025 definition of "wokeness", that's been hijacked by white liberals, is just not sustainable :dead:

every week is a new outrage, or standard, or something to apologize for, and the average voter can't keep up with it. so they tune the far left out :yeshrug: "fukk it, these lunatics are gonna say i'm a bad person no matter what. i'm not making any effort to keep up with this bullshyt"

that's the next convo the Dems need to have. i'm glad that Newsom is trying to start it
It seems to me that Democrats need to start doing their own framing instead of whining about a one-way messaging street. Why aren’t they out there branding Republicans as pro-rich and anti-poor? Why aren’t they hammering the fact that Republicans hand out obscene tax cuts to the wealthy while slashing funding for welfare, healthcare, and essential public programs? Why aren’t Democrats running on the truth—that Republicans and their billionaire backers are outsourcing American jobs and gutting local economies? Why aren’t they calling out the GOP’s opposition to a $15 minimum wage, paid leave, and basic labor protections? The problem isn’t just Republican messaging. It’s that mainstream Democrats have no counter-message. They’re not fighting the narrative war. They’re not naming the villains. And until they do, they’ll keep losing ground—not because the other side is persuasive, but because they’re unchallenged. Why aren't democrats pointing out how we spend 1 trillion on defense instead of giving folks Healthcare? You want to know why they dont do any of this? Because the democratic establishment is the pc version of maga beholden to the same donors.

:laff:

but the reason, of course, is that someone has to sit Mamdani down and tell him who's supposed to pay for all his free shyt. Hochul knows this

Do you agree with this statement?

Exactly my point, the fact that republicans are seen as more populist than democrats is absolutely insane. This isn't even a progressive versus liberal problem, this is a legitimate beholden to donor problem. We're going to continue to lose elections because all republicans have to do is bring up fringe weirdo shyt with any policy cause they go unchecked with messaging opposition. If they had to actually answer why we giving billionaires to the wealth and defunding hospitals cutting social programs by everyone across the board they would be cooked.

the flipside is, who do you think is supposed to pay for all of Mamdani's free shyt? the Money Fairy?

Hochul knows that Mamdani can't drive them all into Desantis' arms :yeshrug:

We lost the popular vote. You need a new route.
idiots like that are tapped. ask him what progressives should be willing to compromise on, to win swing states, given that they're NOT dark blue states

he'll say "nothing", and then cry about losing :mjlol:

the far left has no interest in winning elections nationally. they view it as compromising their principles

People sounding like Republicans in here. I figured that's the direction they wanted to go in.
Throw in everything a democrat believes in your opinion but use the word anti. Anti abortion, anti black history, anti civil rights etc
